• CUTTING-EDGE EQUIPPED: The Z1100 SE ABS supernaked motorcycle takes cutting-edge technology to new heights with a suite of electronic rider aids that includes an advanced electronics package with the addition of Electronic Throttle Valves (ETV) delivering more precise and responsive engine control.
• KAWASAKI CORNER MANAGEMENT FUNCTION: Kawasaki Corner Management Function (KCMF) helps modulate brake force and engine power for more precise control through corners. KCMF helps facilitate a smooth transition from accelerating to braking and accelerating again, assisting in tracing your intended line through the turn. It also uses Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) feedback to oversee Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) and Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS) systems.
• INERTIAL MEASUREMENT UNIT: The use of a compact Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) allows an additional layer of precision to be added to the already high-level KTRC and KIBS systems. IMU enables inertia monitoring along 6 Degrees of Freedom. Acceleration along longitudinal, transverse, and vertical axes, plus roll rate and pitch rate are measured. The yaw rate is calculated by the ECU using Kawasaki’s proprietary dynamic modeling software. Additional feedback from the IMU gives an even clearer real-time picture of chassis orientation.
• KAWASAKI TRACTION CONTROL: Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) provides both enhanced sport riding performance and the confidence to negotiate low-traction surfaces. Three rider-selectable modes offer progressively greater levels of intrusion to suit the riding situation and your preference: Mode 1 provides the least amount of assistance with sport riding in mind. Mode 2 offers earlier assistance and features balanced sport riding support. Mode 3 offers the most assistance, allowing you to navigate challenging road conditions with confidence.
• KAWASAKI INTELLIGENT ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM: Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS) is a supersport-grade, multi-sensing brake management system that uses high-precision control to modulate brake pressure in much smaller increments than with standard ABS systems. By accounting for back-torque, KIBS is able to offer increased rear brake control during downshifts. With feedback from the IMU, KIBS is also able to incorporate corner braking management.
• POWER DELIVERY: A choice between Full Power or Low Power modes allows you to set power delivery to suit preference and conditions. Low Power mode limits output to approximately 75% of Full Power for enhanced manageability.
• READY FOR ANYTHING: Integrated riding modes link KTRC settings and Power Modes, allowing you to easily set traction control and power delivery to suit your given riding situation and optimize your riding experience. Select between Sport, Road, Rain, or Manual to tailor the ride to conditions and preferences. The riding mode can be changed while riding, using the buttons located on the left handle.

Modern Conveniences

• NEVER MISS A BEAT: Features such as electronic cruise control, a full-color TFT screen that displays detailed and useful information, and a USB-C power outlet further enhances the Sugomi™ experience allowing you to enjoy the ride.
• ONE-TOUCH SIMPLICITY: Kawasaki’s cruise control system allows speed to be maintained with the simple press of a button on the left handle. Once activated, you don’t have to constantly apply the throttle, reducing stress on the right hand when traveling long distances, enabling relaxed cruising and contributing to a high level of riding comfort. Once the desired speed has been selected, engine output is adjusted automatically via the Electronic Throttle Valves to maintain speed when ascending or descending grades are encountered. Operating the brake lever, clutch lever or rear brake pedal, or shifting gears causes the Electronic Cruise Control to be disengaged. Closing the throttle beyond the “zero-throttle” position is another instinctive way to disengage the system.
• 5-IN FULL-COLOR TFT: 5-in all-digital TFT color instrumentation delivers a high level of visibility and lends the cockpit a high-tech appearance. The screen’s background color automatically changes from white to black when ambient light is low, or it can be manually set per your preference. Screen brightness is also adjusted automatically to suit available ambient light. The display can be switched between two display types. Type 1 shows a bar-style tachometer along the top with vital vehicle information or turn-by-turn directions below it if in use. Type 2 shows a hexagonal tachometer with either an aviation-style attitude indicator-inspired lean angle indicator or turn-by-turn directions in the center.
• EASY CONNECTIVITY: Technology within the instrument panel lets you connect to the motorcycle wirelessly. Using RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE†, several instrument functions can be accessed allowing you to view vehicle info, riding log, phone notifications, display settings, set riding modes, turn-by-turn navigation, and voice commands.
• CHARGED UP: A handlebar-mounted USB-C outlet offers the convenience of charging personal electronics.

More Power On Demand

• TOP OF THE SUPERNAKED SERIES: Kawasaki’s top naturally-aspirated Z supernaked pulls even stronger and delivers more power where you need it most, in the low- to mid-speed range most commonly used around town. Engine performance is enhanced by electronic throttle valves and updated ECU settings to create a thrilling riding experience.
• POWER ENHANCED: The Z1100 SE ABS motorcycle features a 1,099cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke in-line 4-cylinder engine. Receiving an increase in displacement, a longer stroke, and fine-tuned piston shape among many other engine updates, this Z supernaked pulls even more strongly in the low-to-mid rpm range—which you will notice immediately and use often. From mid- to high-rpm, you will enjoy the strong performance and sharp throttle response of the large-displacement engine.
• ELECTRONIC THROTTLE VALVES: Electronic Throttle Valves (ETV) enhance performance and enable the ECU to control the volume of both the fuel (via fuel injectors) and the air (via throttle valves) delivered to the engine. Ideal Fuel Injection (FI) and throttle valve position results in smooth, natural engine response and the ideal engine output. Thanks to the FI and ETV settings, response is both quick and silky smooth – a characteristic that facilitates control and contributes to sport riding potential.
• FLOW MAXIMIZED: The cool air system routes cool air to the airbox from ducts at the front of the side fairings, minimizing performance loss due to heated intake air. The intake ports were optimized to suit the throttle body change and an intoxicating intake howl contributes to the engine feel enhancing the senses with every twist of the throttle. Aggressive looks extend to the clean, high-performance exhaust system which has a 4-2-1 arrangement. The updated exhaust system has a single silencer mounted at a higher angle to accentuate Sugomi™ styling for a sporty, dynamic image.
• KAWASAKI QUICK SHIFTER: Complementing the exhilarating engine character, the dual-direction contactless-type Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) enables clutchless upshifts and downshifts for seamless acceleration and quick and easy deceleration. During acceleration, the system detects that the shift lever has been actuated and sends a signal to the ECU to retard ignition so that the next gear can be engaged without having to use the clutch. During deceleration, the KQS system automatically controls engine speed, allowing you to downshift without operating the clutch.
• COME IN CLUTCH: The Assist & Slipper clutch is a race-inspired clutch technology that offers a very light feel at the lever as well as a back-torque limiting function that helps prevent the rear tire from hopping and skidding during quick downshifts.

Equipped with an all-LED lighting package that includes a headlight with 4 LED bulbs (2 low-beam/2 high-beam), a separate LED position lamp, and a new LED license plate lamp. The LED headlamp design borrows from the image of a predator on the hunt with its eyes locked onto its prey, while the taillight adds a futuristic touch to the bike's rear.

• SPORT READY RIDING: Direct handling can be largely attributed to the suspension and is enhanced by combining the concepts of Showa SFF and BPF achieving both comfort and sport riding. The gold-colored SFF-BP fork is well suited for heavy loading of the fork allowing aggressive riding and delivering direct handling while still offering easy adjustability. The Öhlins S46 rear shock with remote preload adjuster features an aluminum body with single-tube construction, large 46mm piston, and separate air and gas chambers, resulting in a superior sense of grip and handling.
• SHARP TURNING. FIRM HANDLING.: The lightweight, highly rigid aluminum twin-tube frame features a high degree of mass centralization, creating a balance between sharp turning and firm handling. The exhaust system, lightweight aluminum rear frame, rear suspension, and the use of downdraft throttle bodies are the greatest contributors to mass centralization.
